A statin medication that lowers cholesterol levels in the blood by blocking the production of cholesterol in the liver.
A fibrate medication that lowers triglyceride levels and raises high-density lipoprotein (hdl) cholesterol levels in the blood.
High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) and high triglyceride levels (hypertriglyceridemia), especially in patients with mixed dyslipidemia (high levels of both cholesterol and triglycerides).
May be used in combination with diet and exercise to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke in patients with high cholesterol and other risk factors.
Atorvastatin inhibits the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which is involved in the production of cholesterol in the liver. This reduces the amount of cholesterol produced and lowers overall cholesterol levels. Fenofibrate activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-alpha), which regulates lipid metabolism. This leads to increased breakdown of triglycerides and increased production of HDL cholesterol.
Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage is determined by your doctor and is based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
Typically taken once daily, with or without food.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets.
Gastrointestinal upset: nausea, constipation, diarrhea, indigestion

Increased risk of type 2 diabetes
Limit alcohol intake as it can increase the risk of liver damage.
May cause dizziness, drowsiness, or impaired vision. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
Safety and effectiveness have not been established in children.
May need dose adjustment in patients with kidney disease.
Use with caution in patients with liver disease.
