Olmesartan Medoxomil

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

May be used alone or in combination with other medications to control blood pressure

Hydrochlorothiazide increases urine output, reducing blood volume and pressure. Olmesartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. Together, they produce a synergistic effect, lowering blood pressure more effectively than either drug alone.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of low blood pressure and dizziness. Limit alcohol consumption while taking this medication.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness and lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
