Acetylcysteine breaks down disulfide bonds in mucus, making it less viscous. Ambroxol stimulates the production of surfactant, a substance that reduces surface tension in the lungs and helps to keep airways open.
Store at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage and frequency vary depending on the patient's age, condition, and severity of symptoms.
The medication is typically taken orally, with or without food.
