Dicyclomine reduces intestinal spasms by blocking the action of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that stimulates muscle contractions. Paracetamol reduces fever and mild to moderate pain through a poorly understood mechanism, possibly involving inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes in the central nervous system. Tramadol works through multiple mechanisms, primarily binding to opioid receptors, but also inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, which contributes to its analgesic effects.
