Cefpodoxime proxetil inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamases, enzymes produced by some bacteria that break down beta-lactam antibiotics like cefpodoxime. This combination ensures that cefpodoxime remains effective against bacteria that produce these enzymes.
Store at room temperature (below 25°C/77°F), away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.
