Cefuroxime

A cephalosporin antibiotic that works by preventing bacteria from building cell walls.

Clavulanic Acid

A beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects cefuroxime from inactivation by certain bacteria.

Cefuroxime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, while clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamases, enzymes produced by certain bacteria that break down cefuroxime. This combination ensures that cefuroxime can effectively kill bacteria that would otherwise be resistant.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from light and moisture. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.

Dosage varies depending on the infection, patient's age, and kidney function. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

Medication may be administered orally (tablets, suspension) or intravenously (injection).

Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.
