A beta-blocker medication that helps to lower blood pressure by blocking the effects of adrenaline on the heart and blood vessels.
An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that helps to lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the amount of fluid the body retains.
High blood pressure (hypertension) in adults when other medications haven't been effective or are not suitable.
To reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or other heartrelated complications in patients with high blood pressure and other risk factors, such as diabetes or a history of heart attack.
Nebicard T 5/40mg Tab (Nebivolol + Telmisartan) works by acting on two different systems in the body to lower blood pressure. Nebivolol blocks the effects of adrenaline on the heart and blood vessels, reducing heart rate and making it easier for the heart to pump blood. Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels and reduces the amount of fluid the body retains, further reducing blood pressure. This combined action helps to control high blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
Store nebivolol + telmisartan tablets at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep them in their original container with the lid tightly closed.
The dosage of nebivolol + telmisartan will be determined by your doctor, based on your medical history and the severity of your condition.
Take the tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than the prescribed amount.
Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets.
Serious side effects are rare but may include: low blood pressure, heart problems, liver problems, allergic reactions, and angioedema (swelling under the skin).
Common side effects include dizziness, headache, fatigue, and a cough.
Avoid alcohol consumption while taking nebivolol + telmisartan, as it can increase the risk of side effects, particularly dizziness and lightheadedness.
Nebivolol + telmisartan can cause dizziness and fatigue, which may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery safely. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It is also not recommended for breastfeeding mothers, as it can pass into breast milk.
Nebivolol + telmisartan is not recommended for use in children.
Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage if you have kidney problems.
