Amlodipine

A calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

Indapamide

A diuretic (water pill) that helps your body get rid of excess salt and water, also lowering blood pressure.

Treatment of mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults when treatment with two agents is appropriate.

Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels by blocking the entry of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells, leading to vasodilation and reduced peripheral resistance. Indapamide increases sodium and water excretion by inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule of the nephron, reducing blood volume and pressure. The combination provides a synergistic effect, offering more effective blood pressure control than either drug alone.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C) in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional and individualized based on the patient's condition and response to treatment.

Generally, it's taken once daily, usually in the morning, with or without food.

Children

Not recommended for children. Alternative medications may be more appropriate.



Kidney

Use with caution in patients with impaired kidney function. Dosage adjustment may be necessary.
