A diuretic (water pill) that helps the body get rid of excess salt and water, also lowering blood pressure.
Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure) when treatment with two agents is appropriate.
Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels by blocking the entry of calcium into vascular smooth muscle cells, leading to vasodilation and reduced peripheral resistance. Indapamide increases sodium and water excretion by inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule of the kidney, resulting in decreased blood volume and blood pressure.
Store at room temperature (below 30°C), away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage should be determined by your physician based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
Typically, the medication is taken once daily, with or without food.
