A type of antibiotic called a cephalosporin, also effective against various bacteria.
Moxifloxacin + Cefixime is typically prescribed for bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis), skin and soft tissues, and urinary tract.
It may also be used for other infections based on your doctor's assessment.
Both Mahaflox Cx Tab (Moxifloxacin + Cefixime) work by interfering with the bacteria's ability to build their cell walls, ultimately leading to their death.
Store the medication in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
The dosage and duration of treatment will depend on the type and severity of your infection and your doctor's recommendation.
It is usually taken orally with or without food.
Follow the instructions on the prescription label carefully. Do not take more or less than prescribed.
More serious side effects are possible, including allergic reactions, tendon inflammation, and liver damage. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any concerning side effects.
Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and headache.
Avoid alcohol while taking this medication, as it may increase the risk of side effects.
Moxifloxacin + Cefixime may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
