Levo-Thyroxine Sodium Tablets Ip 100 Mcg (Levothyroxine) works by replacing the thyroid hormone that your body is not producing enough of. It helps to regulate your metabolism, heart rate, body temperature, and other important bodily functions.
Store levothyroxine at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it in its original container.
The dosage of levothyroxine is determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and medical history.
Levothyroxine is usually taken once daily, on an empty stomach, at least 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast.
Do not crush or chew levothyroxine tablets. Swallow them whole with water.
It is important to take levothyroxine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it without talking to your doctor.
More serious side effects are possible, such as heart palpitations, chest pain, and seizures.
Common side effects include headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, nervousness, tremor, insomnia, and weight loss.
