Ketoconazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption of the cell membrane leads to the death of the fungus.
Store the medication at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected area twice daily.
