Hytrin 1mg Tab (Terazosin) is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles in the blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and also relaxing the muscles in the prostate, improving urine flow in men with BPH.

Store at room temperature away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage is determined by your doctor and depends on your condition and response to treatment.

It is typically taken once daily, usually at bedtime, to minimize the risk of first-dose hypotension (sudden drop in blood pressure).

Never change your dosage or stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

Dizziness

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid or limit alcohol consumption, as it can increase the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how terazosin affects you, as dizziness and lightheadedness are common side effects.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking terazosin if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant. Use is generally avoided during pregnancy.



Children

Terazosin is generally not recommended for children unless specifically prescribed by a physician.



Kidney

Kidney impairment may require dosage adjustment. Your doctor will consider your kidney function.



Liver

Liver impairment may affect the metabolism of Terazosin. Your doctor will consider your liver function.
