Hetram 2mg Tab (Perampanel) is an anti-epileptic drug that works by enhancing the effects of a neurotransmitter called GABA. GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter, meaning it helps to reduce the activity of nerve cells in the brain. By enhancing the effects of GABA, perampanel helps to reduce the abnormal electrical activity in the brain that causes seizures.
Store at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Keep the medication in its original container, tightly closed, and out of reach of children.
The dosage of perampanel is determined by your doctor and will depend on your individual needs.
It is typically taken once daily at bedtime.
Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets. Swallow them whole with water.

Avoid alcohol while taking perampanel, as it can increase the risk of side effects.
Perampanel can cause drowsiness and dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
Perampanel is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It is also not recommended for use while breastfeeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
Perampanel is not approved for use in children.
Perampanel is primarily eliminated through the kidneys. If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
Perampanel is metabolized in the liver. If you have liver problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
