Clonazepam

A benzodiazepine medication that acts as a central nervous system depressant.

Escitalopram Oxalate

A selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (ssri) antidepressant.

Clonazepam: Treatment of seizures (including generalized tonic-clonic seizures, absence seizures, myoclonic seizures, and akinetic seizures), anxiety disorders (such as panic disorder and generalized anxiety disorder), and certain movement disorders.

Escitalopram Oxalate: Treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).

0 Clonazepam: Enhances the effects of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which has calming effects on the brain, reducing seizures and anxiety.1 Escitalopram Oxalate: Increases the levels of serotonin in the brain, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood, sleep, appetite, and other functions.

Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Dosage and frequency are determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and medical condition. Clonazepam is typically taken orally, and Escitalopram Oxalate is usually taken once daily.

Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

Serious Side Effects (Clonazepam): Dependence, withdrawal syndrome (if abruptly stopped), respiratory depression, coma.

Serious Side Effects (Escitalopram Oxalate): Suicidal thoughts or actions, seizures, serotonin syndrome (a potentially life-threatening condition), bleeding problems, low sodium levels.

Common Side Effects (Clonazepam): Drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, muscle weakness, impaired coordination, memory problems, difficulty concentrating.

Common Side Effects (Escitalopram Oxalate): Nausea, headache, drowsiness, insomnia, dry mouth, sexual dysfunction, sweating.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption as it can increase the risk of side effects, particularly drowsiness and impaired coordination.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you. Clonazepam and Escitalopram Oxalate can cause drowsiness and impaired judgment.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefit outweighs the risks. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Clonazepam and Escitalopram Oxalate can pass into breast milk, so breastfeeding is not recommended while taking this medication.



Children

This medication is not typically recommended for children under 18 years old.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dosage.



Liver

If you have liver problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dosage.
