A penicillin-type antibiotic that fights against bacteria.
A penicillinase-resistant penicillin antibiotic, also effective against bacteria.
Treatment of infections caused by susceptible grampositive bacteria.
Skin and soft tissue infections (e.g., cellulitis, impetigo, abscesses).
Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis when caused by susceptible bacteria).
Both Campilox Dt Tab (Ampicillin + Dicloxacillin) inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Dicloxacillin's resistance to penicillinase makes it effective against bacteria that produce this enzyme, which breaks down ampicillin.
Store at room temperature (below 25°C), away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.
Dosage is determined by a physician based on the infection's severity, patient's age, and weight.
Usually administered orally, with or without food (follow physician's instructions).
Complete the full course of medication, even if symptoms improve. Stopping early may lead to recurrence of infection.
